What it is
Retatrutide is an investigational triple agonist (GLP-1, GIP, and glucagon) studied for some of the largest fat loss in its class.
Best for: significant weight loss, especially if other GLP-1s stalled
Status: investigational, not yet approved, sold for research
Why it is hyped: trials showed very large average weight loss
How it works
It hits three metabolic receptors at once.
GLP-1 and GIP: curb appetite and slow stomach emptying
Glucagon: nudges up calorie burn (energy expenditure)
Net effect: you eat less and burn a little more
Dosing and mixing
Reference tiers only. Track the dose you are already taking.
Low
1 to 2 mg, once weekly
FOR Easing in, sensitive users, the first few weeks
BENEFIT Often picked as a gentler starting tier while users assess GI tolerance
Standard
4 to 8 mg, once weekly
FOR Steady, sustainable fat loss for most people
BENEFIT Commonly picked as the middle tier in weight-loss discussions
High
Up to 12 mg, once weekly
FOR Experienced users chasing maximal loss
BENEFIT People report the strongest appetite effect here, with the highest nausea risk
Schedule: One injection per week, same day. Rotate sites.
Beginner ramp: Increase about 2 mg every 4 weeks, only once side effects settle.
Mixing (reconstitution)
BAC water is bacteriostatic water, the sterile water you mix in.
A 10 mg vial with 2 mL BAC water is a common, easy-to-draw mix.

How to take it
Inject under the skin once a week (abdomen, thigh, or upper arm).
Pick one day a week and keep it consistent
Rotate the spot each week to avoid irritation
Refrigerate the mixed vial between doses
What to expect
Week 1
Appetite drops noticeably. Mild nausea is common as you adjust.
Weeks 2 to 4
Food noise quiets and portions shrink. Some early water weight drops.
Weeks 4 to 8
Steady fat loss settles in as you titrate up.
Months 2 to 6
The main loss window. Most progress happens here with consistent dosing.
Plateaus
Normal, and usually handled by a careful dose increase, not panic.
Keep in mind
Protein and resistance training protect muscle while you lose fat.
Side effects
Commonly reported
Nausea, especially early on or after a change
Reduced appetite
Constipation or mild fatigue
Burping or reflux
See a clinician if
Severe or non-stop vomiting
Severe abdominal pain (possible pancreatitis)
Right-side pain (possible gallbladder)
Storage
Keep it cold, before and after mixing.
Powder: refrigerate, it tolerates short room-temp and shipping
After mixing: fridge, use within about 4 weeks
Do not freeze, keep out of light, swirl gently
Common stacks
Retatrutide + BPC-157: people pair these when GI comfort is a concern during GLP-1 use
Retatrutide + Glutathione: people pair these when antioxidant use is part of their routine
Retatrutide + CJC-1295/Ipamorelin: an advanced pairing people choose when muscle retention is a concern
Sources & research
Phase 2 trial reported very large mean weight loss over 48 weeks.

Triple-agonist design
Adding glucagon appears to raise calorie burn, not just cut appetite.
Status
Still in trials, not approved, long-term safety data is not yet complete.
